My name is David Fletcher; I started going to watch Leeds United in 1992 from the age of 6 years old with my grandfather. Since then I have held a home season ticket every year. It’s fair to say I have seen some really good times and some not so good times at Elland Rd, however no matter what happens my love for the club will never change!
I was excited to see the “Marching Out Together” group formed at Elland Rd. Leeds has some bad press in relation to homophobic behaviour from fans and it’s great to be on the board in a role that can help to address these important issues.
I identify as “Pansexual” which is a term a lot of people are not yet familiar with, it means: “The sexual, romantic or emotional attraction towards people regardless of their sex or gender identity”
I’m looking forward to taking up the role of Campaign Manager and believe I can bring a wealth of experience to the role. In my personal life I currently work for an organisation that specialises in client management and it’s my role to look after and deliver services for the big named clients based in the North and Scotland.
In my spare time I also do casual work for a local based charity in Preston which supports individuals with learning disabilities. This line of work has also involved the running of a number of fundraising events.
Other hobbies I’m interested in are playing 5 a side football, going to the gym and spending evenings at the cinema.
